Purpose and Scope
The Construction Works Rules and Regulations (CWRR) provide a framework to govern all construction activities in Eko Atlantic City, ensuring compliance with international best practices, Lagos State legislation, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements. The regulations protect neighboring properties, infrastructure, and public spaces, promoting harmony among residents, businesses, and developers.
Compliance and Enforcement
EACML monitors adherence to the CWRR through site inspections conducted by appointed professionals, addressing non-compliance with notices, fines, or, if necessary, site closures. Contractors are also required to follow the Code of Practice for Structural Works, which outlines detailed best practices for structural construction and serves as a benchmark for enforcement.
